Officers capture escapee from Blackburn Correctional Complex in Louisville

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - An inmate from the Blackburn Correctional Complex is back in police custody after jail officials say he escaped on Tuesday night.

Brandon Edwards was serving a 10-year sentence for convictions out of Breckenridge County on charges of third-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking.

Officials with the Kentucky Department of Corrections say staff members captured Edwards on Wednesday afternoon in Louisville.

Edwards would have been eligible for parole in September 2018. He is now lodged in jail in Louisville.
