ERLANGER, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is cautioning motorists traveling in northern Kentucky to expect delays and closures because of icy conditions.

Road crews had shut down southbound lanes of Interstate 75 at the 182 mile marker because of icy conditions. The highway reopened, but cameras are showing signficiant delays.

The closure begins at the Turfway Road exit near Erlanger.

Traffic flow maps show major delays and blockages on other major northern Kentucky thoroughfares, along with other portions of the Cincinnati metropolitan area.

It is unknown when crews will be able to reopen the highway.

Other areas of Kentucky are seeing deteriorating road conditions, including Mercer County.
