LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - After more than a year of waiting, Janet Jackson is finally bringing her State of the World Tour tour to Lexington.
The legendary singer began her "Unbreakable" tour in August 2015, but last year had to cancel after deciding to focus on starting a family. She has since given birth to her first child.
Jackson, an iconic music artist, is a multi-award-winning songwriter, producer, singer, Oscar and Golden Globe nominee. She stands as one of the most prolific artists of all time with a string of hits that have left an indelible impression on pop culture. With sales of over 160 million records worldwide, her music and artistry have opened doors through which other top artists have followed while acknowledging her impact on their musical perceptions.
The concert starts at 8 p.m. Monday at Rupp Arena.
