Jim Caldwell’s Forecast | A few more storms before a break

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The threat for showers and storms continues today!

The daily routine with the showers and storms continues today! This should be the end of the run though. Most of us should see some good scattered showers and storms through the day. A frontal boundary will slip into the area tonight. It brings another round of organized activity to the region tonight.

As the front exits the area on Thursday morning, we will track the final few storms. The front gets through Kentucky by midday. This should mean that we all see no rain chances and lower humidity for a couple of days. It also leads to a significantly smaller chance of rain too.

The end of the week and the weekend will be rain-free for most people. There could be a few showers and storms develop. The reason... humidity will be EXTREMELY HIGH. We will get a true tropical feel to the air again and when that happens, thunderstorms can be easily triggered. I just don’t think there will be many develop.
