LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Our extreme temperature drop is still on track!
You’ll probably notice that it is very warm out there today. We will see highs back in the 60s again. It will be an awesome day! We will be out ahead of a major system that is moving across the country! So far, it has brought showers, storms, highs winds and snow to other parts of the US.
That system makes its way into Kentucky on Tuesday. All of us will see showers and storms with very gusty winds. Some of these storms that develop will also have some heavy rains associated with them. As this system moves out and temperatures crash, there could be some snow show up on the backside. This new Arctic airmass will be with us the rest of the week and into the weekend. Throw in some snow chances and we have ourselves a sure sign of winter.
To recap... highs will tumble from
The mid 60s to start the week to the 30s by the middle of it! This will be a very cold setup!
