Jim Caldwell's Forecast | Scattered storms around for the weekend

By  |

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The end of the week is here and we are about to head into another weekend. It is one that will include scattered showers & storms.

There have been several days this week that included very rainy days. Now, we are entering a period filled with scattered showers & storms for the entire area. A cold front will be hanging very close to southern Kentucky this afternoon and evening. You will find the best chances in that part of our area. I don't expect it to be an all day rain, but you will find a better chance to see development. Many of us will stay dry and sunny. In those areas, expect highs to jump in the mid 80s.

Another disturbance will drop in for Saturday. You will probably find numerous showers & storms trying to push back into Kentucky. Again, not a total washout! The coverage will be just enough to slow things down for many of you. I think it will help clear things up for Sunday. It looks much calmer on Sunday.

Have a fantastic Friday!
