LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Remaining snow chances for the rest of the week won't pack a several inch punch. It might be just enough to slow you down though!
As a disturbance works into the region expect some changes to come together. Snow showers will likely fill the skies immediately behind the system. You will see these streak through the skies today through Wednesday. In most cases, you won't see much accumulation. What about the few cases that remain? That's where we find our issues! In those locations we could find some light accumulations. Generally, I'd say we pick up a good slick coating with some totals up to an inch or more. The timing on that is through Wednesday morning. There might be a few more intense bands that bring higher numbers a little bit quicker.
Once this taste of winter ends... spring fights back! Thursday will feature highs around 50 degrees. That's very close to normal for mid March. An agressive front will battle back toward the end of the week. It will keep most of us from seeing highs in 60s this weekend. That line has been pushed south of Kentucky. We might even track some showers & thunderstorms during this process.
Mild holds steady for a while. Enjoy!
