Jim Caldwell's Forecast | Tracking true Spring-like weather

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Our pattern is about to get a little more active. It all starts with Monday's rains!

Another system will be pushing into the area on Monday. We will begin seeing clouds increase on Monday. Those clouds will lead to some showers on Monday evening. It's part of a system that will keep the pattern a little more active on Monday and Tuesday. Highs will surge into the 60s for Monday. We'll see highs split across Kentucky on Tuesday. Some areas in northern Kentucky will hang around 50 and southern Kentucky areas will be near 70.

When you see such a significant temp swing across Kentucky, it can mean some stronger storms will be possible. That is exactly what I think we run into on Tuesday. The set-up is certainly there for at least a few stronger storms. Mainly, we'll track gusty winds and some hail.

More Spring swings will show up in the 7-Day Forecast. Most areas will see highs tumble for the middle of the week. Of course another recovery will take shape by the end of the week.

Overall, the pattern looks to get more Spring-like!
