BOONS CAMP, Ky. (WKYT) - Johnson County authorities say a man who invaded another man's home later died once deputies located him.
The sheriff's office says it received a call from a man who told dispatchers that a man "high on meth" had forced his way into his home. He identified the man as 36-year-old Andrew Dusty Harless.
The man called again requesting medical assistance because Harless had hit him on the head, causing him to bleed.
Deputies say once they arrived they found Harless near a ditch unresponsive. Family members told authorities they chased him down a road in an effort to restrain him, because they feared he may overdose.
Paramedics were unable to resuscitate Harless once they arrived on the scene, and the coroner's office pronounced him dead.
Harless was indicted for meth manufacturing in January.
The victim did not seek immediate treatment for his injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
