ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announces that starting at 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 3, the current driving lanes on Interstate 75 southbound in Rockcastle County will be shifted to the two right hand lanes.
KYTC says on Tuesday at 10 p.m., the current driving lanes on Interstate 75 northbound in Rockcastle County will be shifted to the lanes near the median.
Transportation officials want drivers to pay close attention to signage and they want to remind drivers that speed limits are reduced in the area to 55 miles per hour.
KYTC says this traffic shift is the next step in the $31 million I-75 widening project in Rockcastle County between mile markers 64.5 and 69. KYTC estimates construction will be completed for the project in October 2018.
