LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT)- In a Facebook post, Sue Grafton's daughter broke the news to her fans that her Grafton passed away on Thursday evening.
According to the post, she had been battling cancer for two years. They say she was surrounded by family and friends when she passed away.
Grafton was known for writing murder mysteries and many of her stories were featured in TV shows and movies.
"Sue always said that she would continue writing as long as she had the juice," says her daughter Jamie in the post. "Many of you also know that she was adamant that her books would never be turned into movies or TV shows, and in that same vein, she would never allow a ghost writer to write in her name."
Her daughter went on to say the alphabet now ends at Y.
