STAMFORD, Conn. (WKYT) - Kentucky native James Morris, better known as professional wrestler 'Hillbilly Jim,' is the latest inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The 64-year-old Morris, who was born in Louisville and lives in Franklin, was billed from "Mudlick, Kentucky" when he joined the then-World Wrestling Federation in 1984.
Hillbilly Jim was known for wearing overalls and wearing a lucky horseshoe while squeezing his opponents using his bear hug.
Morris competed in multiple Wrestlemania matches during his career which spanned several years. He also performed on the regional circuit in Memphis before appearing with the WWF.
The WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Apr. 6 in New Orleans. Other wrestlers being inducted in this year's class includes Goldberg, Jeff Jarrett and the Dudley Boyz.
