Kids, staff rescued after flood waters surround Kentucky daycare

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO/WKYT) -- Emergency responders in Allen County are dealing with multiple reports of flooding.

The Allen County Sheriff's Office got a report of high water at a daycare on Old Hartsville Road that trapped teachers and children. Emergency crews were able to rescue all of those people. A photograph from Gray Television affiliate WBKO shows children and workers on a fire truck in high water. Fire crews took the children and workers to the Scottsville Baptist Church.

WKYT Chief Meteorologist Chris Bailey says five inches of rain fell in Allen County on Friday. High water made several roads impassable, including Old Glasgow Road.
