LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kroger has announced it will slash prices on several popular grocery items at locations in Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.

The grocery chain says it will offer discounts as a part of its "REFRESH" campaign at 116 stores in the three states. Some of the items included in the program are sugar, milk and bananas. More items including peanut butter, cooking oil and yogurt will eventually be added.

You will find wrap ads covering the front doors of the grocery stores showing the discounted items. You will also see yellow price tags on the items while shopping.

The discounts will be available for all shoppers, even if they do not have a Kroger Plus card.
