LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A multi-vehicle crash slowed traffic on Interstate 75 in Lexington.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes near the Clays Ferry Bridge, just before the Madison County line. Police say three vehicles were involved in the crash.
Medical crews transported one patient to the hospital.
A police officer at the scene believes the crash happened due to black ice on the roadway.
"Bridges and overpasses don't have the Earth to keep it warm like your major roadways do," Trooper Bernis Napier said.
All southbound lanes on I-75 have since reopened.
