LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington Christian Academy is set to open a new 6th grade Academy this school year.
The academy will function as a “project-based” learning environment supported by technology and other resources like STEAM labs, according to a release from the school.
The school hopes to give ample attention to the students who utilize the new academy, and plans to use “tailored teaching methods” to boost their students.
“Students will be empowered by their teachers to grow and develop important 21-century skills like critical-thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity that will prepare them for an ever-changing, highly adaptive world,” said a release from the school.
LCA held a ribbon cutting ceremony tonight to unveil the new academy.
