STANFORD, Ky. (WKYT) - Lincoln County Emergency Management is working with Lincoln County Public Schools to hold a mock disaster drill.

The drill occurred at 9 a.m. Monday. The school system says most of the activities took place at the Tech Center, near Lincoln County High School.

In February, Emergency Management Director Don Gilliam told WKYT's Phil Pendleton the drill is in response to the school shooting in Marshall County.

Emergency managers did not tell students when the drill would take place, as they wanted to make the drill as realistic as possible.

All the student participants were transported to Fort Logan Hospital where the exercise continued. First responders will go over the results of the drill in a debrief.
