LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) - Laurel County authorities say a London man is behind bars after they received a tip about animal cruelty.

Deputies responded to the scene of Keavy Road where they found two dogs tied outside a camper trailer. Investigators say the dogs appeared to be malnourished.

Authorities discovered the suspect, 32-year-old Jessie Jones, did not have any dog food for the animals. There were no water bowls where they could hydrate.

Jones was arrested and charged with cruelty to animals.

Animal control is now in possession of the dogs.
