LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Country singer Loretta Lynn has suffered a broken hip in a fall. Her sister, Crystal Gayle, confirmed the news in a post on Twitter Monday morning.
The fall happened last week. Gayle says she was with Lynn yesterday and that she is in "good spirits" and doing "as well as can be expected."
Lynn, 85, suffered a stroke in May of 2017. She had to cancel her tour and a new album while she recovered. She did make it to the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville in October to help induct fellow country star, Alan Jackson.
Lynn is a Kentucky native. She currently lives in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
