Man arrested in connection to Boyle County special needs camp burglary

BOYLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A Perryville man is behind bars after police say he stole items from a special needs camp.

The Boyle County Sheriff's Office says Steven G. Maxwell, 39, faces multiple charges as investigators have now closed the Camp Horsin' Around burglary case.

Maxwell was charged with theft, endangering the welfare of a minor, three counts of criminal mischief and eight counts of burglary.

Authorities say they were able to recover a portion of the stolen items.

Camp Horsin' Around is a camp designed to give children with various illnesses a chance to go to camp while having proper medical care at the same time.

Maxwell was booked in the Boyle County Detention Center.
