MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say a man injured last week in an officer-involved shooting in Madison County has died.

Police say 51-year-old Kenneth Huntzinger died at UK Hospital Thursday night.

On the night of February 7, a state trooper shot Huntzinger after police say he drove a truck towards the trooper. It happened on General Nelson Drive, south of Richmond.

Police say they had originally been called to that area for a domestic disturbance.

Kentucky State Police say their new Critical Incident Response Team is still investigating the shooting.
