RICHMOND, Ky. (WKYT) - The Richmond Police Department is investigating a stabbing that left a man with critical injuries.
Officials at Baptist Health Richmond contacted police around 9 p.m. Thursday to report that doctors were treating a man with stab wounds. According to police, someone stabbed the man at least four times - twice in the neck and twice in the chest.
The hospital immediately transferred the man to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for emergency surgery. Richmond police say he's listed in critical condition and will be under heavy sedation for the next two days.
Police believe the stabbing happened in the 400 block of Turpin Drive.
