Mother and boyfriend arrested; accused of not feeding and abusing children

RUSSELL COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- A Russell County mother and boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly beating a child with a belt buckle and with-holding food from the three children living in the household.

According to the arrest citation, the mother, Jessica Caseman struck her daughter multiple times with the buckle causing bruising and injuries while her boyfriend, Scott Crabb, held down the Caseman's daughter. Both are also accused of neglecting to feed the daughter and two other children by withholding food.

The suspected abuse was reported to the Russell County Sherriff's Department on Monday, October 30. On Friday deputies arrested Caseman and Crabb charging them with two counts of Criminal Abuse in the 2nd Degree. Both suspects are lodged in the Russell County Detention Center.

All three children were removed from the home and placed into a safe environment.
