LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - It's going to be a busy weekend in downtown Lexington.

Officials warn of a busy day in downtown on Saturday, October 14, 2017 because of several events at Lexington Center.

Five events will be taking place downtown between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. The day begins with the Bourbon Chase at 7:00 a.m. at Triangle Park. Around 400 teams of runners will begin a 200-mile journey across the Bluegrass state where they will pass by bourbon distilleries, horse farms and some of Kentucky's small towns. West Main Street and Vine Street from Jefferson Street to Broadway will be closed from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. for the event.

The Kentucky Reptile Show will be held at Heritage Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Anywhere from 400 to 600 people are expected to attend.

The Signature Productions Spa Show will be held in Heritage Hall West from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Another 600 people are expected to attend the Hardrock Promotions MMA event in Heritage Hall Center from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Chris Isaac is performing at the Lexington Opera House at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Troubador Concert Series. 700 people are expected to attend that event.

If your plans will take you into downtown Lexington on Saturday, officials urge you to give yourself plenty of time.

"Everything is going to be open. Everything is available. Just getting here is gonna be a little bit more of a challenge. Nothing catastrophic by any stretch of the imagination. Main Street is closed from Broadway to Jefferson, so that's the piece you gotta avoid. So if you miss that on Saturday, everything is fine," said Carl Hall, Director of Arena Management at Lexington Center.

"People should plan to arrive early and allow extra time to find a parking spot. Parking is available at the Rupp lot on High Street and Manchester St./West Main St," said Bill Owens, President, and CEO of Lexington Center.

The weekend kicks off with Big Blue Madness. The annual scrimmage featuring the UK men's and women's basketball teams begins at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Rupp Arena.
