FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - A rally to protest Gov. Matt Bevin's pension proposal is expected to draw hundreds of current and former state employees.
The rally is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on the steps of the state capitol in Frankfort.
The event is being organized by United We Stand - Kentucky Government Employees, but is supported by other organizations.
The proposal, titled "Keeping the Promise", was announced October 18. It would put new employees into a 401 (k)-style account, among other changes.
The governor has been touring the commonwealth promoting the new plan.
Several groups have held other meetings to discuss the proposal.
