PARIS, Ky. (WKYT) - Paris Police are leading the investigation into a shooting that left three people injured. The shooting happened around 2 a.m. Sunday morning.
Witnesses say there were around 200 people inside Club Allure on Main Street. Despite the number of individuals at the club, police tell WKYT they're having trouble finding witnesses.
The shots were fired outside of the club, injuring a woman and two men. An ambulance transported the woman to the emergency room at UK's Chandler Medical Center. The two men drove themselves to the hospital. There is no word on the conditions of the victims.
Bullets from the shooting hit many neighboring businesses. Many say this shooting is very out of character for downtown Paris.
"This is our town. It's where we live. And we're very involved in Main Street; everybody's friendly and help each other. There's a real cooperative spirit," said Margaret Layton with Loch Lea Antiques. "So anytime there's violence of any sort it's upsetting. It's just like having something happened to your next-door neighbor."
One owner of a neighboring business says Club Allure opened just a few months ago.
Paris Police want anyone who may have been there and saw the events leading up to the shooting to please give them a call at 859-987-2100.
