CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of a fatal crash Sunday afternoon as Cathy C. Richie, 56, of Cynthiana.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon on U.S. 60 near Cassell Creek Golf Course.

Deputies from the Clark County Sheriff's Office say an SUV was driving eastbound on U.S. 60 when they think it collided head-on with a truck that was traveling westbound. Deputies say a third truck was also hit in the collision, but they have not said who may be at fault or what caused the crash.

Investigators say Richie, a passenger from the SUV, died in the wreck, while four others were taken to UK Hospital, with some having serious injuries.

The Clark County Sheriff's Office is investigating the accident.

Neighbors who live along that stretch of road say they see crashes out there quite a bit.

"I travel that road to work on a daily basis," said Dedra Miller, who lives near where the crash happened. "Cars do travel very fast, and pull out in front of you on the side roads. It's a very dangerous road. Very dangerous to travel any time of day."
