BURGIN, Ky. (WKYT) - Police in Mercer County are looking for a man accused of attacking an officer.

The Burgin Police Chief Jim Caldwell says he and another officer were called out to reports of a man walking naked down a neighborhood street around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police say Robert David Webb fought with police and provided a fake name when they arrived and attempted to clothe him. Webb reportedly fled on foot and escaped.

Chief Caldwell attempted to arrest Webb again Saturday at his residence. An unknown woman answered the door. When Caldwell tried to arrest Webb, the suspect reportedly grabbed Caldwell's pepper spray and sprayed the officer.

Police say Webb then fled on foot and was picked up down the road by the female in a silver four door car with temporary tags.

Webb now faces several charges from both incidents, including assault, resisting and evading arrest, and disarming an officer.
