LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - UPDATE: The winning numbers, drawn just after 11 p.m. Wednesday are 7, 26, 16, 23, 6 and Powerball 4.
The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday jumped to $700 million, with a cash option of $443.3.
According to Kentucky Lottery officials, this is now the 2nd largest jackpot in Powerball game history, and the 2nd largest jackpot ever offered North American history. Only last year's $1.6 billion world-record jackpot was higher.
Tickets for Powerball are $2 a piece. Players can either choose their own numbers or get a quick-pick.
Customers at Dairy Mart on East Reynolds Road in Lexington already have some plans in mind if they hit the jackpot.
"I would probably try to buy myself an island," Tyler Flanery said. "I'd definitely look out for my family and make sure none of us have to work ever again."
"Probably buy me a couple of race horses out at Keeneland," Jackie Dean said, "and buy me a house on the beach in Carolina."
Kentucky has drawn 18 Powerball winners. The odds of winning the big jackpot are 1 in 292 million.
