ROCKCASTLE COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- Roadblocks scheduled for Thursday on I-75 North to inspect bridge involved in crash
Crews with the Kentucky Department of Transportation say they plan to block portions of I-75 in Rockcastle County to assess damage to a bridge after Tuesday night fiery crash.
In a release, the department says they plan to perform a series of rolling road blocks on all northbound lanes beginning at approximately 10 a.m. They say the rolling road blocks will last approximately 15 minutes and will occur periodically throughout the day.
The inspections come after police say an RV drove through the construction zone crashing and causing possible damage to the bridge. Police say the driver, John McCoy, 67, of Chesapeake, Ohio, died in the crash.
They say the road blocks could be moved to another day based on inclement weather.
