WASHINGTON, D.C. (WKYT) - Senator Rand Paul (R-Ky.) announced on Twitter Monday that he was returning to work, ten days after he was attacked by his neighbor in Bowling Green, breaking six of his ribs.

Police say Rene Boucher tackled Paul after he had just finished mowing his yard at his Bowling Green home.

Boucher has plead not guilty to a misdemeanor assault charge. His charges could be upgraded.

In a twitter message, Paul thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers as he recovered.
