Man arrested and charged for 15 vehicle break-ins in Nicholasville

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WKYT)- Nicholasville Police have arrested a man they say broke into 15 cars overnight and stole multiple items.

27-year-old Timothy Williams has been arrested and charged with receiving stolen property under $500, possession of drug paraphernalia, and public intoxication (controlled substance).

Police say that he broke into the vehicles in the Cameron Drive area of Nicholasville.

Police found Williams when they conducted a traffic stop and noticed a backpack in the backseat that matched the description of one reported stolen from a car overnight.

Williams gave consent for officers to search his vehicle and that was when police say they found items stolen from approximately 15 cars around Nicholasville overnight.

Police placed Williams in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
