LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Traffic app Waze announced the top 5 best and worst places to be a driver in the U.S. based on its annual Driver Satisfaction Index. It says Lexington is the second best place to be a driver.
Waze surveyed millions of monthly active Wazers in 61 metros across the United States to get a look at overall driver experiences using a single numeric score (10 being satisfying and 1 being miserable). The survey asked drivers to rate traffic, safety and road qualities in their market.
Here's what they found:
• Lexington is ranked in the top 5 best places to be a driver.
• Additionally, smaller metros in states like North Carolina, Kentucky, and Ohio received higher overall satisfaction scores than large metros across the country.
• Meanwhile, the worst place to be a driver in the US is Honolulu, HI.
