Meth found on impaired semi truck driver in Hardin County

SONORA, Ky. (WKYT)- Kentucky State Police say a semi truck driver is behind bars on drug charges.

According to KSP, they stopped the truck Tuesday morning on Interstate 65 in Hardin County. Troopers say the driver Jimmy Wyrick, 49, of Texas, was not wearing his seatbelt and was driving from lane to lane.

During a search, officers found meth in the vehicle.

Wyrick was charged with failure to wear a seatbelt, careless driving, texting while driving a CMV, operating a vehicle under the Influence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a CMV while in possession of drugs.

He is being held in the Hardin County jail.
