PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT)- Police say two Perry County men are behind bars for allegedly breaking into a Perry County school and causing thousands of dollars in damage.
They say the break-in occurred on December 12 at the old Chavies School in Perry County. Originally officers say an arrest was not made but following an investigation, they discovered Norman Adams and Jonathan Williams had delivered portions of copper wiring and copper pipe stolen from the school to a local recycling plant.
Investigators say they then issued warrants for their arrest. They say the two were arrested on Friday. Both are charged with receiving stolen property. They are lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Jail.
