Victim identified in deadly Rockcastle Co. wreck

MOUNT VERNON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky State Police say one man is dead following a wreck in the Mount Vernon community of Rockcastle County.

The wreck happened on U.S. Highway 25 in the Mount Vernon community at 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police identified the victim as Anthony Frederick, 56, of Paint Lick. Investigators say Frederick was traveling southbound when he lost control of his 2009 Chrysler van before hitting a tree in a head-on collision.

A deputy coroner says toxicology results are pending to determine if drugs or alcohol played any factor in the crash.

Frederick's vehicle was the only one invovled in the wreck.
