Watch a horse get rescued from Indiana floodwaters

LAKE FOREST, Ind. (WKYT) - Several horses trapped in floodwaters are doing better after being rescued in Indiana.

Rescue crews in Lake Station, Indiana used boats to reach three horses and a llama. Lake Station is approximately 35 miles southeast of Chicago in the northwest portion of the state.

Nine other horses were also rescued nearby.

Crews had to wade through five feet of water to pull the horses to safety.

The midwestern United States is expected to continue to receive heavy rainfall through the weekend.
