MANCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - Water service is restored for almost everyone in Clay County after some went more than one week without running water.
As of Wednesday, about one thousand people in the county did not have water. But that number is down to fewer than 50, water officials said Saturday.
Deputy Clerk Elsie Woods, who oversees Manchester Water Works, told WKYT authorities are working to ensure the remaining folks without running water get it back soon.
Woods said everyone in the county should still try to conserve as much water as possible so tanks don't get depleted.
