HARLAN COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A video showing a mother bear and her cubs roaming a Kentucky mountain is not only getting attention, but also raising awareness of conservation efforts in the Bluegrass.

The video captured by wildlife cameras shows the bears on a preserve on Pine Mountain in Harlan County.
This preserve is adjacent to Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve, Kentucky's largest tract of old growth forest that Kentucky Natural Lands Trust (KNLT) helped protect in the mid-90s.
The group has several wildlife cameras positioned in the area and hopes to place more.
KNLT says Pine Mountain is home to nearly 100 rare species of plants and animals.
