Bucks sign Young to training camp deal

MILWAUKEE, Wisc. (WKYT) - The Milwaukee Bucks have signed former UK guard James Young to a free agent training camp contract.

Young, 22, was Boston’s first pick in the 2014 draft. He played in 89 games with the Celtics over three seasons, averaging 2.3 points and 1.1 rebounds.

Young also played two seasons (2014-16) with the Maine Red Claws of the NBA G League. The Flint, Mich. native averaged 18.7 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals a game, while shooting 40.6 percent from three-point range.
