DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - Danville's trio of D’Mauriae VanCleave, Jaleel Warren and Christian Hill has been offered preferred walk-on spots at Kentucky, per a tweet sent out by Admirals’ assistant coach Darius Baughman.
VanCleave was named the Most Valuable Player in Saturday’s 2A state title game. Danville beat Mayfield for the school’s 11th championship. On the season, VanCleave had 82 catches for 1,095 yards and 14 touchdowns, while rushing for 762 yards and 11 scores. VanCleave is listed at 5-foot-8.
Warren, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound receiver/defensive end, caught a touchdown pass against Mayfield.
Hill was disruptive in the Ads’ championship game. The 6-foot-2 defensive lineman had more than 50 tackles this season.
Danville completed a perfect season at 15-0.
