LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky had to overcome a 13-10 halftime deficit to beat EKU, 27-16 at Kroger Field on Saturday.
UK quarterback Stephen Johnson was 15-22 for 224 yards passing and one passing touchdown. Johnson added a rushing touchdown. Benny Snell led UK's rushing attack with 103 yards and 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Blake Bone had 3 receptions for 93 yards.
EKU quarterback Tim Boyle was 24-35 for 202 yards passing and one passing touchdown. LJ Scott led the Colonels with 33 yards rushing and 1 touchdown. Wide receiver Ryan Markush had 10 receptions for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Next up for Kentucky is a trip to South Carolina. EKU heads into a bye week.
