Stoops: Cats enjoy the process

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Kentucky coach Mark Stoops saluted his players after Saturday’s 35-21 win over Missouri. Stoops said he was pleased with how the Wildcat go about preparing for teams.

“They take the coaching. They take the criticism. They know we can do so many things better,” Stoops said on Saturday.

“We did a lot of awful good things today. On all sides. The beautiful thing is there's so much more we can do and will do. That's what gives us so much optimism as we move forward.”

With the win, UK has five wins on the season, with four games remaining. It’s all but assumed his team will become bowl eligible, but he’s asking his team to focus on improving.

“I just asked them, ‘are you satisfied? Is that it? I mean, are we satisfied with this or are we going to go take it to another level?’”

“That's what I love about them. They want to go to work,” he said. “You know, I want them to enjoy it. They should. The music's on in there, they're having fun. They should. But tonight, go home and watch somebody else sweat. Relax and let's get back on Monday and not be satisfied. So that's our mindset.”
