Top-ranked Georgetown suffers first loss of season

MARIETTA, Ga. (WKYT) - Top-ranked Georgetown College suffered its first loss of the season, as Life Univeristy upended the Tigers on Thursday, 82-77.

Life led 42-39 at the half.

Quan Poindexter paced the Tigers with 17 points. Troy Steward added 16 and Shadell Millinghaus had 15.

At 16-1, Georgetown is off to its best start under coach Chris Briggs.

The Tigers host University of the Cumberlands on Saturday at 4:00 pm.
