UK Football team goes golfing after practice

Two days and counting to the Taxslayer Bowl and the Cats getting in another practice here early Thursday afternoon.

After practice at North Florida, the team made a trip to Top Golf, a triple-tiered driving range and everybody was able to show what they could do with a club in their hands.

UK linebacker Josh Allen admits he's not the best at golf. When asked who he thought would win the friendly competition, Allen said, "It's not going to me, I'll tell you that."

Coach Mark Stoops said he's happy with how his team has handled things - a balance between having fun and being serious about winning the game.

"I think we've gotten our work done when we needed to," he said.

Stoops also added that the team has done a good job of staying focused.

"Normally, we don't travel with all these guys. So there's quite a few players here, and when you're dealing with that many numbers, you're trying to stay away from the outside distractions, and we haven't had those."

UK will face Georgia Tech in the Taxslayer Bowl on Saturday. The game will air on ESPN at 11 a.m.
