4 to 6 cups assorted gluten free Chex or other cereal
1 8 oz pkg Snyder’s gluten free pretzels, broken
1 cup slivered almonds or walnuts, toasted (optional)
Butter flavored cooking spray
½ cup dark chocolate chips (more or less to taste)
Preheat oven to 300 deg. Mix cereal, pretzels, and nuts (if using) and spread evenly on a baking pan with sides. Toast in oven about 15 minutes. Stir and toast again until lightly browned. Allow to cool on pan. Melt chocolate and drizzle over toasted mixture. Allow to cool and put into a tightly closed box to save.
Note: If you are doing this for an adult audience, sprinkle ¼ to ½ tsp ground cayenne pepper into the melted chocolate before you drizzle. I love it this way, but there are others who might disagree.
