3 Ingredient Cherry Chocolate Dump Cake Friday, August 8, 2014


2 20 ounce cans cherry pie filling
1 18.5 ounce box Devil's Food Cake Mix, unprepared
3/4 cup butter, melted


Preheat oven to 350 deg. Dump cherry pie filling into a 13x9 inch cake pan. Spread evenly in pan. Top cherry pie filling with unprepared cake mix. Make sure it is evenly spread out. Drizzle melted butter over the top. Bake about 1 hour. If about 50 minutes into the baking, if there are still places that the cake mix is still dry, gently stir to incorporate them in the cake and return to the oven for the remaining 10 minutes. This is especially good served topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream but that is not essential. It is even good cold.
