Dollywood Cinnamon Bread Friday, December 20, 2013

Ingredients

1 lb loaf frozen bread dough
1 cup butter, melted
1 cup sugar
3 to 4 TBSP cinnamon

Directions

Allow bread dough to thaw. When dough is thawed, cut the loaf in half crosswise. Place melted butter in a large flat container. Mix sugar and cinnamon in another large flat contain. Cut each piece of dough deeply crosswise but do not cut all the way through. Coat the dough completely in the butter then completely in the cinnamon sugar. Place in an 8x3x2 ½ inch loaf pan. Allow to rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk. Bake in a 350 deg oven about 35 minutes or until brown. Turn out and serve.

This bread is wonderful hot from the oven. It can be easily reheated by placing it in the microwave for 30 seconds. The Cinnamon Bread is sold in the Grist Mill at Dollywood.
