Baked Peach Pudding Tuesday, August 17, 2010


3 cups of fresh peaches, thinly sliced.
2 cups of milk.
2 cups of breadcrumbs.
1 cup of dark brown sugar.
¼ cup of unsalted butter.
2 medium eggs, beaten.
¼ tsp nutmeg
Pinch of salt.
Ice cream.


Preheat oven to 350 deg. Scald the milk, then stir the hot milk into the breadcrumbs. Add the butter and mix thoroughly. Mix the salt, sugar, eggs and nutmeg. Stir this mixture into the breadcrumb mixture. Fold in the sliced peaches. Butter a casserole dish, then pour in mixture and bake 55-60 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream.
