6 lean pork chops, about 3/4-inch thick
salt and pepper
3 to 4 sweet potatoes, uncooked, peeled and cut in half lengthwise
2 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 6 oz can orange juice concentrate
1/2 cup brown sugar
dash allspice or ground cloves
Season pork chops with salt and pepper and brown lightly in a large skillet. Place pork chops in a slow cooker which has been sprayed with cooking oil spray; place sweet potatoes around pork chops; cover with onion slices. Combine orange juice concentrate with the brown sugar and spices; pour over the pork chops and sweet potatoes. Sprinkle with salt. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
